Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the AI Pre Review website, service, or any related features (collectively, the “Service”) provided by AI Applications, LLC, an Arizona Limited Liability Company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms; continued use constitutes acceptance. We will notify material changes via email or a prominent notice.

2. The Service

The Service provides critical analysis and suggestions for improving medical/scientific manuscripts prior to journal submission. It is not a writing, editing, rewriting, or ghostwriting service. Reports are for informational purposes only and do not guarantee acceptance, faster review, or publication. You retain full responsibility for your manuscript’s content, accuracy, ethics, and compliance with journal/funder policies.

3. User Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to agree to these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining account security and all activities under it.

4. User Content & Ownership

You retain all ownership rights in manuscripts, data, and other materials you submit (“User Content”) and in any reports generated (“Reports”). We claim no ownership. You grant us a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, analyze, and process User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service, generate Reports, and improve the Service (in anonymized/aggregated form only, where permitted).

5. Privacy & Data Security

We respect your privacy. See our separate Privacy Policy. We will not sell or share identifiable User Content or personal information except: (a) as needed to provide the Service, (b) with your consent, or (c) as required by law. We use a private AI platform that does not train on your submissions. Data is stored on secure servers. You may request deletion of your files at any time (subject to technical retention for backups/legal holds). We implement reasonable security but cannot guarantee absolute protection.

6. AI Use & Limitations

We use AI tools under controlled conditions with human oversight. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies. We do not use your data to train external models. Reports may note AI assistance for transparency.

AI is a tool, not a human. “Hallucinations” and other errors are possible. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all suggestions before submission.

7. Fees, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

Fees are processed on receipt.

Accounts can be canceled at any time. Services will continue to be provided through the end of the current term. Cancellations will be effective at the end of the current term.

Refunds are only provided if the AI Pre Review fails to return any report, and only after contacting AIPreReview@Gmail.com, and only if the matter cannot be resolved.

8. Acceptable Use & Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that infringes IP, is defamatory, unethical, or violates laws/ethics (e.g., unapproved human subjects data).
  • Use the Service for writing/rewriting on behalf of others or to circumvent publisher policies.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to access our underlying technology.
  • Use the Service for competitive purposes or as a service bureau.
  • Share your login with others.
  • Violate any applicable laws or publisher/journal rules.

We may suspend/terminate access for violations within our discretion, without restriction.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, platform, algorithms, and our templates are our exclusive property. You receive a limited license to use Reports for your personal/academic/professional purposes. You must not remove attributions or resell Reports.

10. Representations & Warranties

You represent that: (i) you own or have all necessary rights to User Content; (ii) it complies with all laws, ethical standards (e.g., COPE, ICMJE), and does not infringe third-party rights; (iii) you will disclose our Service use to journals if required.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service or Reports; (b) your User Content; (c) breach of these Terms; (d) violation of any third-party rights (including publishers, copyright owners); or (e) your publication/submission decisions.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE AND REPORTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND (EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY), INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT JOURNAL ACCEPTANCE OR OUTCOMES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access for any reason. You may delete your account/files. Provisions on ownership, IP, indemnification, liability, and governing law survive termination.

14. Governing Law, Arbitration, & Miscellaneous

These Terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict of laws. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Maricopa County under AAA rules, or in small claims court. You waive class actions. If any provision is invalid, it shall be severed. This is the entire agreement. No waiver unless in writing. We may assign the agreement.
